Having multiple (yes, more than one) opt-in on your website is important. I am going to show you the top 10 places to insert an opt-in form on your website.
Opt-ins is a way to collect contact details, share your content and convert into sales. I talked about how the money is in the (email) list and how important it is to start and have an email newsletter.
It is easy to overlook or miss some really important or key spots on your website where you must have an opt-in. (Believe me, I learned the hard way!) So I’m sharing my hard experiences from my cake blog for bigger conversions (more signups) to save you time, money and stress and get you building your list faster than me.
I have found the top 10 spots on your website to put opt-ins.

Note – I mention having additional training inside Cake Business School and it is also alavilable in our sister school Blog Business School.
1.) Home.
Above the fold, up the top.
2.) About page.
This is one of your most visited pages.
3.) End of blog posts.
For anyone who gets to the bottom of a blog article. I use ConvertKit plugin to do this.
4.) Middle of posts.
I call this content upgrade or blog specific opt-ins. They convert really well for me at 10-40%. Inside Blog Business School I show you exactly how to add a content upgrade with ConvertKit.
5.) Get started page.
It could be a free stuff page or resources page. Have your main call to action (CTA) to get them on the list.
6.) Sidebar.
This is quite common in the blog widget sidebar area.
7.) Pop up.
Love or hate them, they work. It would be on entry, on exit or on a delay timer. I set mine at 60 seconds with ConvertKit and I get 100’s new email subscribers per month.
8.) Guest posts.
Be a contributing writer for another persons blog and add an opt in.
9.) Footer.
Right at the bottom of every single page and post on your website. If someone scrolls all the way to the bottom and they have nothing else to do or nowhere else to go.
10.) Landing page.
These can be created in 2 minutes flat with ConvertKit and connected to your website within 5 seconds. I share exactly how to do this in Blog Business School.
