That is the most I have ever made in 1 month. From this blogging online business or any other business, I've had! If you are new around here I share my income and my numbers. Some people can find the numbers and the dollar sign challenge. They may get 'triggered' by it. That is okay. If you don't want to know, look away now. WHY DO I SHARE MY INCOME REPORTS? I follow several income reports like Pat Flynn from Smart Passive Income, Rose Atwater from Rose Bakes, Pinch of Yum, House of Brazen and Making Sense of Cents and there is something about numbers that is sexy, motivational, inspiring and lets me dream bigger. Is it just me? I read Rose Bakes 2015 income report where she made nearly $37,000 USD for the year from blogging. Well, that knocked my socks off. I showed my ... View Post
How I Made $83,146.37 in Last 12 Months
It is the end of the financial year, here in Australia (1 July 2017 - 30 June 2018) ... so perfect time to do a financial year review, as well at a mid-calendar-year review. I wanted to share my financial year income and expenses and how the numbers are crunching, so far. My goal for 17/18 was $100k and I made $83k. I am disappointed to not make ''6 figures'' but at the same time, I increased from $60k last financial year. So disappointment is not based on evidence, but more about ego, I think. At the end of 2017, I was shaking my head in shock of the growth in this business. I went from $15,000 in 2015/16 financial year to $60,000 in 2016/17, effectively quadrupling my gross income. And this 12 months has been massive (in other ways). We hit 12 months since retiring my ... View Post
$6157.15 May 2018 Income Report
As you may (or may not) know, in the last 3 weeks I started having 3 months off. Doing maybe 6 hours per week of work. While the first week off, I was ‘’pretending’’ I’m on holidays + THEN doing work (about 30 hours)… well, that didn’t work. I was trying to trick the brain (+ body) into relaxing – that doesn’t work unless I am physically relaxing. That week I was stressed + unwell + unhappy. This week. Bliss. Joy. Happiness. MUSIC I haven’t had music in my life in a long time. I remember pop music in my CD player as a teenager. I remember ‘Soft Moods’ CD + swaying around my flat in early 20’s. In early 30’s with my cake business I listened to business CD’s and audio books. And my old pop CD’s. I could (and can) quite comfortable sit in silence. For hours. ... View Post
I’m having 3 months off
I’ve been thinking about having time off for the last week or so + the only thing left to do, was to DECIDE. I haven’t been well, for a long time. Sometimes I think I’m getting better, but honestly, I’m not. Back in December, I was bedridden for a month. It took an additional 2 months to get back something of ‘normalcy’ being ABLE to work. I took it slow and careful. Trying to be gentle with me. Allowing myself to set no alarm + sleep in, going for slow walks, allowing people to help me, reducing work hours. Yet, still, anxiety, panic attacks, depression + chest pain. I feel so worn down. It’s like my body is under constant attack. And the side-effect of all this? I feel negative. Run down. Slow (like unproductive, brain fog, can’t put a sentence together). ... View Post
Blogging Trends 2018: Quitting, Stopping, Shutting Down
I am seeing a blogging (and online business trend) of quitting, stopping, changing, shutting down and moving on. I am seeing people STOP podcasting, STOP email marketing, STOPPING YouTube (even when they are #1 for their category in the world, like 1 million+ subscribers!!!), STOPPING Facebook groups, CLOSING down business, partnership BREAKUPS. I am seeing a pattern. In the business world. I’ve been around for a long time, in the online business game. 4 years (to be fair, I was in business another 2-4 years before that, but had my head pretty much up my arse and didn’t see anything!) In the last 2 weeks, I've seen people stopped podcasting, deleting email subscribers lists, stopped publishing on YouTube, stop blogging, sooooo many Facebook groups closed down (or the groups ... $7880.30 March 2018 Income Report
We are now 50% parents and have 50% custody. (Well, to be more accurate, Hottie Boyfriend has 50% custody and I support him in that). It is school holidays in Australia (for 2 weeks) and we had Miss 7 for 1st half school holidays. The first time ever. At the beginning of Term 2 of school, she is going to a school 5 minutes from our house. 7 days with daddy. 7 days with mummy. I was looking for a photo of school holidays and we have none. The first day or so Miss 7 was with us and she asked ''how about we start a new routine?'' ''Sure,'' I replied, ''what is it?'' ''No TV, no phones and no computer.'' NO TECHNOLOGY Okay. I wonder why she wanted that ... we barely ever touch our phones when we have her (we only previously saw her for a couple of hours per week). I barely ... View Post
