Today I want to share with you that actual one thing you need to do every day in business.

And, I need to apologise to you. Recently, I have lost my way a little bit and I wanted to say I’m sorry.

Because this big ol’ entrepreneurial dream (you know the one) is … overwhelming. And exhausting.

And sometimes I get lost in the maze of it all.

 

• The never ending To Do List.
• Zero inbox envy.
• Pressing ‘Like’ on the latest 6 figure status & thinking ‘seriously?’
• #brainfog
• Too close to see clearly.
• Missing and amazing little girl.
• Phone calls and remembering to sit & breathe & enjoy the moment.
• Exercise.
• Coffee.
• Chocolate. (Because that IS happening!)
• The millionth Brain Dump in hope the path becomes clearer.
• Closing down the 100 tabs open (on the computer & in my head.)
• Cuddle the boyfriend.
• Find food. What to cook for dinner?
• Cave time. Reflect time. Meditation time.

 

Like it all seems so ridiculous & the running around in circles … When everyone is waiting for holidays to ‘get away’.

Get away from WHAT?

Get away from LIFE?

 

I went off in a tangent, there. Sorry! (Again.)

 

I FORGOT.

I forgot about my PASSION. The reason I am alive and on this planet. I forgot that it is really is so much simpler than that whole list (up there).

It really is 1 THING I need to do & need to remember & I had forgotten.

 

… another tangent. I overheard my boyfriend just say to his friend on the phone, ‘but you are learning, moving and evolving. When no one else does that.’

He really is the smartest & wisest person I know.

You know that list? All of the shit I feel I should be doing & be on top of?

My boyfriend tells me he has 1 thing on his list:

BE A GOOD PERSON.

Be a good person. Be a good boyfriend. Be a good dad. Be a good son, brother, uncle, grandson, friend.

That’s it. Yet that is EVERYTHING. That is all he needs to do in this life. To live and say he is a good person.

And he is.

He is the best person I know. He walks his talk. He lives his truth. He remembers when with TRULY important.

Be a good person. And he is such a good person. I could tell you stories… We went crabbing on the weekend and when coming home I told him I have 30 minutes of computer work I need to do. He told me to go do that and when I surfaced from the office, he had cleaned the boat, put everything away, was half way through cooking the crabs (we caught 18), he had cleaned the kitchen. Then he cleaned all the crabs, he cracked all the crab meat for me to eat (I hate cracking crabs & peeling prawns, so he does it for me) and I ate until I was full. Then he cleaned up. He treats me like I deserve.

Another story – when I come home after 5pm, I always walk into a hot plate of dinner ready for me to eat (I love to eat early!) And the first thing he will say to me, every single day, is – ‘How was your day? What magick did you create? Tell me EVERYTHING about your day’. And he MEANS it. He honestly wants to know.

 

While I got a little side tracked there … here is my point.

 

Life is simple.

Business is simple.

We over complicate it, when we don’t need to.

 

The 1 Thing Need to Do Every Day in Business

The 1 thing I need to do?

HELP 1 PERSON A DAY.

Help one person a day. And I had forgotten this and I wanted to apologise to you.

I’m SO sorry.

 

Helping 1 person a day … That equals 365 in a year. Each and EVERY year. (That’s maths :P)

 

When we talk about NUMBERS in business, like conversions and tracking. That all kinda feels like bullshit. Because how many people I help? THAT is a REAL number.

 

Hmmmmm. I just got goose bumps. Sitting on my couch. 8pm on Thursday night with rain outside my window.

No TV. No computer. My pen & paper & me.

My boyfriend is getting out of the shower and we will go to bed soon. (Yep, super early like grandparents.)

Life is good. Every day (nearly) my boyfriend and I talk about how we have such a good life.

Because we choose to be here.
